The EcoMobility SHIFT project (June 2010 – May 2013) aims at developing a method to assess, improve and promote the environmental sustainability of local governments’ transport and land-use planning policies. Municipalities will be able to obtain an ‘EcoMobility Label’ that values their efforts to improve the ‘friendliness’ of their cities, neighborhoods and facilities for pedestrians, cyclists, wheelers and public transport users.
The EcoMobility SHIFT project is an activity of the Global Alliance for EcoMobility. It is co-funded by the European Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation (EACI), as part of its Intelligent Energy Europe (IEE) program. ICLEI, which provides the EcoMobility secretariat, coordinates the SHIFT project.
Brief information about the EcoMobility SHIFT project is also available as a flyer, slide presentation and through the
IEE project database.
