Local Motion 2009: Edmonton, Canada

The Local Motion 2009 project in Edmonton, Canada, is an innovative experience designed with the aim to create the first ever EcoMobility neighborhood in the world. During the one month project, which will commence in June 2009, the inhabitants of one neighborhood in Edmonton will entirely rely on the use of public and non-motorized transport to move citizens around. A lot of preparation needs to happen between now and June in order to ensure a smooth transition. The Global Alliance for EcoMobility is one of the partners in Local Motion 2009.

A series of videos are being produced to document the evolution of the project from the first contact with the neighbors in January until the final implementation of the project in June 2009.
